3. Account Registration

To use our Service, you must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate information, and maintain the security of your account.

4. Credits and Payments

Credits are required to generate cover letters. Purchased credits do not expire but are non-refundable except as required by law.

5. Subscriptions

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for unlawful purposes, submit fraudulent information, or attempt to gain unauthorised access.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your CV content. Generated cover letters are yours to use for personal job applications.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

AI-generated content may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before use.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that generated cover letters will result in job offers.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

1. Information We Collect

Account Info: Email, name, authentication data.

CV Data: Your CV file is processed in your browser. The extracted text is sent to OpenAI to generate cover letters. We do not permanently store your CV text.

Usage Data: Cover letters generated, credits used, activity timestamps (linked to your account).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the cover letter generation service, process payments, send service-related emails, and improve our service.

3. Third-Party Services

OpenAI: Your CV text and job descriptions are sent to OpenAI (GPT-4o-mini) to generate cover letters.

Firebase: We use Google Firebase for authentication.

PayFast: Payments are processed by PayFast. We do not store your card details.

4. Data Retention

We retain account information while your account is active. Generated cover letters are stored until you delete them. You can delete your account and data at any time.

5. Your Rights (POPIA/GDPR)

We use HTTPS, secure authentication, and follow industry security practices to protect your data.
